Hometown Favorite Dan Hardy added to UFC on Fuel 5 in Nottingham, England
The next time the UFC will be in England will be September 29,2012. The event will be UFC Nottingham or UFC on Fuel 5. To add some hometown flair to the event home town beloved former UFC title challenger Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy (24-10) will take on The Ultimate Fighter season 7 winner Amir Sadollah (6-3).
Dan Hardy started off his UFC career with four consecutive wins. Those four wins put Hardy in place to challenge for the UFC Welterweight championship. The title fight against George St.Pierre did not go Hardy’s way. The loss started off a dark time in the professional Career of the “Outlaw”. Following three more consecutive losses Hardy took some well need time off. Re felting on the loss over the past two years Hardy made changes to the way he does business, hiring a manager. Hardy also made a major change in his life moving from Nottingham England to Las Vegas Nevada. Now feeling more comfortable with the changes made in his life Hardy turned around his in cage performance snapping the four fight loosing streak with a TKO stoppage victory over Duane Ludwig at UFC 146 in the 1st round. Hardy will look to put to keep putting wins together as hardy will have the crowd on his side as he returns home to Nottingham.
Amir Sadollah has grown up in the UFC. After winning the 7th season of the Ultimate Fighter reality show Sadollah has has a rough career mostly due to injuries as Sadollah has only fought three times in one year once since entering the UFC. Sadolllah only had one amateur fight before going on to the reality show. All Sadollah’s pro experience has come in the UFC octagon. Now having this match-up four months from his last win at UFC on Fuel 3 in May vs Jorge Lopez shows that from his last outing in the cage Sadollah came away injury free and looking to build off the co-main event victory.
With Hardy and Sadollah both being well-known for their striking abilities this should hope to be a exciting fight for all to view.
