Bellator 91 takes place in Rio Rancho, New Mexico at the Santa Ana Star Center on February 28, 2013. Josh Lanier (7-6) moves up from his normal Middleweight all the way to Heavyweight to face Josh Appelt.
MF: How are you feeling with the move up to Heavyweight?
JL: Man, I feel good, lost 5 lbs. this week unfortunately so I’m like 212lbs. They say he’s going to come in at 260- 265 so this is going to be about my speed and agility compared to his size and strength. Either way I’m excited win, lose, draw I’m excited to get out there and fight.
MF: How exciting is it being on a Bellator card with it being there first trip to New Mexico?
JL: Man it’s an honor, you know. It’s a true honor, I been fighting a long time, here lately its been more of a coaching roll and then an opportunity like this knocks on the door, you got to take it. Unfortunately the opportunity it 260- 265 lbs. 5’10” but we’re going to take it either way so I’m excited.
