Recently we had the chance to catch up with Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s fighter Nick Gonzalez (3-0)after a Momma D’s Dungeon Drowning and talk with Nick about his upcoming Bellator 91bout with Judement MMA’s Adrian Cruz (3-0).
MF: How are you feeling about the opportunity and how has camp been going?
NG: The camp has been going great. Feeling really good about the opportunity, I’m looking forward to it. Adrian is a good friend of mine. I have a lot of respect for him and his camp. I know he’s training hard I’m training hard and we’re just looking forward to getting of there and just showing what we can do, living the dream enjoying ourselves and put on a good show for the New Mexico fans out there. Definitely represent our state with the rest of the world watching.
MF: Referring to your friend as an advisory does that give you any trepidation or hesitation about punching him in the face?
NG: O no, absolutely not it’s nothing personal when we’re in the cage it’s just time to take care of business and then afterwards it’s back to hugs and laughs and good times and everything else, dinner after the fight everything will be all good. It’s just what we do; this is what we do and there’s nothing personal it’s all business. It’s our job and we enjoy our work.
