We’re now just over a week away from what is sure to be a night filled with fun and action. On Saturday September 8, 2012, Jackson’s Mixed Martial Arts Series IX is set to blow the roof off Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the Co-Main Event Knuxx’s own and rising star Hunter Tucker will collide with “Nasty” Nate Patterson. We caught up with Hunter at a recent mitt session and got some final thoughts heading into this fight…
Hunter informed us that training is going great and he is ready to step into the cage on September 8 and add another notch to his Win column,

Jackson’s MMA Series IX, Presented by The Downs Racetrack & Casino, will be held on September 8th, 2012 at 7:00PM MST at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jackson’s own and WEC Veteran Frank Gomez (10-5) will take on local favorite Mikey “The Burque Bulldog” Lovato (10-3) in the Main Event. Gomez is a seasoned vet with hard hitting striking and excellent ground work. Lovato will bring his exceptional wrestling skills to take out Gomez and add a signature win to his record. This match-up will pit two highly skilled fighters in an exciting 135 pound Bantamweight Main Event fight!

The Jackson’s MMA Series has become the premiere MMA fight promotion in the Southwest and has launched multiple fighters to the next level. Jackson’s MMA Series veterans include TUF 14 Featherweight Champion Diego Brandao and TUF 14 Veteran Johnny Bedford. In addition, multiple series fighters have been signed by Zuffa for either the UFC or Strikeforce including Henry Martinez, Julie Kedzie, Isaac Valle-Flagg, Lionel Lanham, Willie Parks, and Sarah D’Alelio.
Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA recently signed a three year-12 event deal with The Downs Racetrack & Casino that will see 4 Jackson’s MMA Series events each year at Tingley Coliseum. With the new, bigger venue, Jackson’s now has the room for more elaborate stage set-ups and fighter entrances. We at Knuxx are extremely excited to see what Jackson’s does with the extra space.
