Utah’s Josh Burkman, “The People’s Warrior”, made the card for the much anticipated debut of World Series of Fighting. The event is Saturday, November 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Burkman will be facing Gerald Harris, an opponent with a very similar MMA background. Both Burkman and Harris are experienced fighters, UFC vets, with strong wrestling backgrounds.
I caught up with Josh Burkman at practice at the Pit Elevated located in Orem, UT. Burkman feels one of his advantages in the fight will be his experience fighting at 170 lbs. Most of Harris’s fights have been at 180 lbs and maybe surprised at Burkman’s speed and strength. From watching Burkman’s win against Jamie Yager at the Showdown Fights in September I believe you’ll find his composure in the cage to be among the best.
