The Strikeforce Rousey vs Kaufman card on August 18th in San Diego keeps filling up with the newest fight that has been added bringing special attention to us here at Knuxx of New Mexico. Julie “Fireball” Kedzie (16-9), a member of team Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA, will take on former Strikeforce Bantamweight Champion Miesha “Takedown” Tate (12-3).
Julie Kedzie has been a long time member of the Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA team. This will be the first fight in a year for Kedzie, her last fight was a loss to Alexis Davis at Strikeforce/M-1Global: Fedor vs Henderson. With the year layoff Kedzie did stay busy by cornering teammates and even commentaing on the very first Invicta FC all female MMA event.
For Meisha Tate this will be the first time back in action since losing her title to Ronda Rousey back on March 3rd via a nasty arm bar.
With both ladies looking to get back in the win column, I’m sure we’ll be treated to some fire works.
