After the Fresquez Productions’ press conference to Announce Mayhem, which will be headlined by Holly Holm defending the IBA Light Welterweight title against Marry McGee, Mike Frankl caught up with the Champion to talk about her last fight and her next fight.
MF: Coming off the win at Bellator 91, was that first off?
HH: You know it was awesome, a great experience. It was fun; the fight was fun! The training camp was good and my teammates were great. My coaches were great and it seemed like everything fell into place for that fight; and here we are lined up for another. I’m really fortunate to be able to take advantage of these opportunities.
MF: Lenny Fesquez had said he kept this a surprise, how surprising was it when you got the call that we got your next boxing match set up; you’re done fighting in that cage right?
HH: I was fully surprised and it was actually in my locker room after the fight on Thursday, Lenny came in and he’s like, “well I know a lot of people know this and I don’t know if you heard yet unless they kept it a secret we have a fight for you”. I said, “really oh okay. I had no idea, but am excited for the opportunity”.
