Christian Cabral went into the ring Saturday night with a chip on his shoulder and feeling that he had been overlooked by many, when he was deemed the underdog against Donald Sanchez. Now after earning a unanimous decision win, in a bout that words can only describe as a war; we talk with “El Puma” about the win.
MF: How you feeling now that the fight is done and you got the W?
CC: I feel great right now, actually. I had to prove everybody wrong. I don’t’ know everyone under estimated me and thought I was going to lose. Not really, I was prepared. I was 110% prepared for this fight.
MF: Forget what people were talking about what did you expect from this fight and did it play out as you expected?
CC: I thought it was going to be a tough fight, but I was ready for it I was ready for anything.
MF: You said you thought it was going to be a tough fight, would you say it was?
CC: Yeah I thought it was a tough fight. I thought I dominated the early rounds. In the 6th round I got caught with one to the body but, it was nothing too bad. I was just trying to move out and he kept rushing me. I thought I did great.
