While at Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA I had the chance to talk with “Hurricane” Heather Clark about her upcoming bout at Bellator 94 against Felice Herrig.
MF: How does it feel to be getting a shot in Bellator?
HC: It’s a dream come true! I’ve fought for XFC and I loved it. They put on a great show. They always feature women’s fights on TV and they gave me a lot of exposure. Now I have the chance to go to another great promotion at Bellator and fight a girl. Honestly I was supposed to be fighting in my very first fight for Victory FC, which was in 2010. So, I been trying to get Felice for a while and finally it’s coming to fruition. My time has come (as Heather smacks her fist against her hand)
MF: Is there a particular reason why you sought after this fight?
HC: Well, you know personally I think she’s a great fighter. I think that she comes to fight, she prepares, and she’s always in great shape. Most of the time she goes the distances, and looks strong all through 3 rounds. I think it’s going to be a real test to my skills. But, also I’m not a real big fan of hers. You know she kind of promotes herself trashy. I’ve said this before there’s a difference between sexy and trashy you know if I go like this (lift my shirt up) or spread my legs that’s trashy. Now if I want to pose sexy or do something like Ronda where it was very artistic. Nude but artistic, I believe that’s sexy. I do think there is a fine line between trashy and sexy; spreading your legs and having your shirt off an sticking your tongue out and all that shit an being sexy and free, flattering and feminine. To me Felice is trashy. I think a lot of other girls are sexy, and that’s totally okay but that how I feel about her personally.
