Following the press conference to announce Johnny Tapia Presents The Next Chapter 3 we caught up with Team Tapia member Paul Castillo who will be facing Diego Batista at The Next Chapter 3 on March 30th , at the Crowne Plaza 1901 University Blvd in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
MF: It was just announced that you will be facing Diego Batista, any thoughts on the match-up?
PC: I don’t really know this guy. I think I sparred him one time, a while back. I just hope he’s ready because I’m training for this fight like I was fighting Mayweather – world champion. I will be conditioned to go 10 rounds, 12 rounds, 15 rounds, I’ll be ready.
MF: You don’t’ much about your opponent, will you be doing some research or is this going to be more about what you can do instead of what he might do?
PC: Yeah it’s more like; I mean just training and pushing myself past the limit in training. Whatever he brings I’ll be able to adjust to it.
