Recently I had the chance to talk with Diego Bautista who will be facing Paul Castillo on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Johnny Tapia Presents the Next Chapter 3; which takes place at the Crowne Plaza at 1901 University in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
MF: A little over two weeks away from the fight how you feeling?
DB: I’m feeling good. On top of my game I think. I think this is the strongest I’ve ever been.
MF: Since your last fight what have you been working on?
DB: I have been doing nothing but sprints. I don’t really go for jogs any more. I have been working a lot on my endurance.
MF: We know from that last fight coming off a majority decision loss what we’re something you wanted to improve?
DB: I don’t know. I was back then, but I think I just got to nervous when it was time to go up in the ring. But, it happens to all of us; I just hope it doesn’t happen in this next fight. I’m just going to give the best that I got.
