Knuxx was live at the Fresquez Production press conference that took place at 2pm MT on Tuesday March 5, 2013, at the Legends Theater inside the Rout 66 Casino.
The press conference was to announce that “Mayhem”, which will take place on May 11, 2013, at the Legends Theater inside the Route 66 Casino. “Mayhem” will be headlined by, the 14-time 3 weight class world champion, Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm (32-2-3, 9 KO’s) defending the IBA Light Welterweight title against former NABC Lightweight Champion “Merciless” Mary McGee (20-1, 11 KO’s).
The undercard, while still being finalized, is expected to showcase: Matthew “The Champ” Baca (3-0, 2KO’s) in a 6 round Jr. Welterweight bout, Rocky “El Torito” Romero (2-0) in a 4 round Jr. Welterweight bout, Gabe Gabaldon in a 4 round Welterweight bout that is his pro debut, and the pro debut of Brian Mendoza fighting a 4 round lightweight bout. All four fighters are waiting for opponents to be announced.
Holly Holm is coming off of a TKO win over Katie Merrill at Bellator 91 in a MMA bout. Holm last competed in the ring earning a unanimous decision over Diana Prazak at the December Fire & Ice event.
Mary McGee started off her career being undefeated through 17 pro bouts. Since a 2010 unanimous decision loss to Brooke Dierdorff, McGee has twice bettered Ashleigh Curry by decision and most recently, at the December Fire & Ice event McGee, defeated Victoria Cisneros by 4th round TKO.
