About: World Championship Martial Arts has been open for 3 years now and is one of the two actual MMA gyms/camps in Peterborough, WCMA is owned by Jordan Preston and Jason Mancini. WCMA offers training and classes in the following disciplines; Karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and MMA. These are not all of the options at WCMA though, they also offer self defense classes for younger children and run a weekly women’s fit-camp.
If you want to start competing, WCMA would be a great place to start training. Many of there current students have experience in competitions and have brought many titles back to the gym. WCMA recently made a trip over to Mexico to train with the Gracie family, which gave them the chance to learn and bring back many new techniques to there students.
It was also just announced that the WCMA team will be moving in to a much larger location starting in December. They will be upgrading in to a new building that will provide them with 9000 square feet of space. This will be 5000 square feet bigger then there current location. It will give them the opportunity to add some new features and introduce some new programs in to the gym.
